Double-glazed uPVC windows, made in Melbourne

Tilt and turn windows

One handle, two ways to open. Tilt the sash in at the top for secure ventilation, or turn it in from the side to open the window fully and clean both faces from inside. Our most secure window.

Why choose tilt and turn windows

Secure airflow

In the tilt position the sash opens only a little at the top, so you can leave it open for fresh air.

Clean from inside

Turn the sash fully inward to clean both sides of the glass without a ladder.

Our best energy ratings

Tilt and turn windows are pulled tight into the frame when locked, and rate from U-value 2.18 with standard double glazing down to 1.09 with Low-E triple glazing.

European design

Made from aluplast IDEAL 4000 profiles with HOPPE and Siegenia hardware, both covered by a 10-year warranty.

Common questions

What is a tilt and turn window?

A European-style window that opens two ways from one handle. Turn the handle one way and the sash tilts inward at the top for ventilation. Turn it further and the sash swings inward from the side like a door, for full opening and cleaning.

Do tilt and turn windows open inward?

Yes, both the tilt and the turn positions open into the room. Allow for the sash swing when you plan blinds, curtains and furniture near the window.

Are tilt and turn windows energy efficient?

They are our best-performing opening window. With standard clear double glazing they rate U-value 2.18 (WERS ALU-008-007), and with Low-E triple glazing 1.09 (WERS ALU-009-318).

How long does it take to get my tilt and turn windows?

Most jobs take 8 to 12 weeks from approved quote to installation. Timing depends on our production schedule, and on lamination if you choose a colour we don't keep in stock.

Do you install, or supply only?

Both. For new homes, builders typically order supply-only and install using our drawings and installation details. For replacements in existing homes, our certified installers can complete the job for you.
