Double-glazed uPVC windows, made in Melbourne

Casement windows

Casement windows are hinged at the side and open outward like a door, giving airflow across the full height of the sash. Pair them with fixed glass for a wide window with ventilation at either end.

Why choose casement windows

Full-height airflow

The whole sash opens outward from the side, so air moves through the full height of the opening.

Catches the breeze

An open side-hung sash can direct a passing breeze into the room.

Tight seals all round

The sash closes onto rubber seals on every side, cutting draughts, heat loss and outside noise.

Flexible layouts

One casement, a casement beside fixed glass, or casements either side of a fixed centre, with or without fixed lights below.

Common questions

What is the difference between a casement and an awning window?

Both have a hinged sash that opens outward. A casement is hinged at the side and opens like a door. An awning is hinged at the top and opens out from the bottom.

Casement or tilt and turn?

A tilt and turn window also opens from the side, but inward, and adds a secure tilt position for ventilation. A casement opens outward, so it stays clear of blinds and furniture inside. If you're not sure which suits your room, tell us when you request a quote and we'll recommend one.

How long does it take to get my casement windows?

Most jobs take 8 to 12 weeks from approved quote to installation. Timing depends on our production schedule, and on lamination if you choose a colour we don't keep in stock.

Do you install, or supply only?

Both. For new homes, builders typically order supply-only and install using our drawings and installation details. For replacements in existing homes, our certified installers can complete the job for you.
